CableLabs Envision Vendor Forum 2022: Mobility & Wireless in a Converged World is a short, highly consumable virtual event that will take place April 19–20, 2022, 9:00–11:30 a.m. MDT on both days.

It’s a place for executives, senior technologists and strategists who are responsible for wireless and mobility infrastructure products that deliver unique, seamless, flexible and efficient services and experiences.

Envision will feature panel discussions and presentations by key industry thought leaders. Best of all, Q&A sessions will enable you to pose questions directly to subject matter experts. This event provides a laser focus on the wireless, mobile and converged aspects of infrastructure, such as next-generation 5G/ORAN, 10G, WiFi 6 and 3GPP. We’ll also feature discussions on technology policies, security considerations and emerging operating models.

      CableLabs has been working on a concept of converged service orchestration, providing a common framework for automated deployment, configuration and assurance of wireline and wireless services. Service orchestration is a crucial tool in operationalizing and driving the adoption of many key convergence enablers. Along with its partners, CableLabs will discuss a collaboration effort in implementing a public-private cloud service orchestration use case involving CableLabs’ IWiNS. The session will also touch on emerging orchestration use cases and key requirements that need to be addressed.

      The first step in the evolution towards full convergence is platform convergence, where cloud-native network stacks share hardware (compute, storage, and networking) and these software-based systems are deployed and managed by a common management layer. This session provides status on the new 10G Lab at CableLabs and explores the early efforts of deploying a 5G network stack into a shared environment, cataloging the challenges and approaches taken to ensure an optimized environment to host multiple network stacks is achieved.

    • 11:15-11:30 a.m. ARC - One Year Later: Enabling Convergence

      How will the cable industry tackle convergence and differentiate the user experience? Last fall Kyrio announced the Adaptive Route Control (ARC) platform and its first product, ARC Mobile, which was aimed at enabling both members and vendors to rapidly deliver converged Wi-Fi and mobile experience. Join the session to hear about operators’ progress on ARC Mobile trials and get up to date on what we’ve learned on delivering converged experiences at scale. This session will also review how Kyrio is expanding The ARC platform to better enable operators and vendors to leverage the platform and drive new technology products like ARC Gateway and ARC Gateway Hotspot into the residential and business broadband connectivity space. Learn how both operators and vendors can use the ARC platform as a launchpad for introducing converged and differentiated experiences that create benefits to users while also improving architectural and business success.
