Dr. Curtis Knittle and Phil McKinney to Speak at Mid-America Cable Show

CableLabs is pleased to announce that Dr. Curtis Knittle, vice president of wired technologies, will lead a technical breakout session at the upcoming show hosted by the Mid-America Cable Telecommunications Association (MACTA) in Dallas, TX, on April 3-4. The breakout (2:00 p.m. CDT, April 4, 2024) will focus on the current state of DOCSIS 3.1 and DOCSIS 4.0 and what operators should consider when upgrading their current HFC plant versus building FTTH.

Additionally, CableLabs president and CEO Phil McKinney will provide a virtual welcome address. McKinney’s remarks will include thoughts on the industry’s current state and the role that AI and quantum will play in broadband networks of the future.

MACTA is an industry association formed to help telecommunications providers in the Midwest promote technical excellence, superior customer service, exemplary marketing and student scholarships.
