CableLabs today announced that Paul Fonte, Senior Director of its Future Infrastructure Group, and Hans Geerdes, Principal Strategist, will speak at Cable Next-Gen Technologies & Strategies 2026, taking place March 24–26, 2026.
On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 2:50–3:20 p.m. MT, Geerdes will participate in the Fireside Chat, “Satellite and Direct-to-Device – Cable’s Next Frontier.” As satellite capabilities accelerate, the session will address how cable operators can position themselves within an increasingly multi-network ecosystem.
On Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 11:10–11:30 a.m. MT, Fonte will join the Fireside Chat, “AI at the Edge: Transforming Cable Broadband with Generative and Agentic Intelligence.” The session will explore the evolution of AI from traditional models to generative and agentic systems and implications for cable broadband operators.
Together, Fonte and Geerdes’ sessions will underscore CableLabs’ leadership in advancing multi-network strategies, intelligent infrastructure and next-generation customer experiences for the global cable industry.
