CableLabs Collaborates to Create Immersive Digital Experiences Alliance
CableLabs has teamed up with Charter, Light Field Lab, OTOY and Visby to create the Immersive Digital Experiences Alliance. Principal architect, Arianne Hinds of CableLabs, is helping work to develop an end-to-end ecosystem for immersive media by creating a suite of display-agnostic, royalty-free specifications. These alliance specifications will go beyond AR and VR to also include emerging light field technology.
