AI Reliability Experts to Convene at IEEE Conference in Denver

Dr. Jason Rupe, Distinguished Technologist at CableLabs, along with other leading experts, will address AI reliability challenges at the 2025 IEEE Conference on Prognostics and Health Management (ICPHM 2025), June 9-11 in Denver, with hybrid attendance options available.

The panel “AI/ML Reliability, Explainability, and Trustworthiness” will be moderated by Dr. Ruolin Zhou of UMass-Dartmouth and feature prominent industry and academic voices tackling how to ensure AI systems are both reliable and trustworthy in mission-critical applications.

Dr. Rupe, current IEEE Reliability Society President and Distinguished Technologist at CableLabs, will bring expertise in network reliability and proactive network maintenance to the discussion. Rupe, who was named IEEE Reliability Society Engineer of the Year in 2021 and CableLabs Inventor of the Year in 2020, focuses on advancing industry reliability standards.

Other panelists include Dr. Preeti Chauhan from Google’s AI/ML hardware division, former IEEE Reliability Society President Dr. Zhaojun Steven Li, NIST computer scientist Rick Kuhn and Virginia Tech Professor Dr. Angelos Stavrou.

The session will explore best practices for designing reliable AI systems and emerging trends as AI increasingly powers NextG wireless networks, aerospace systems, and smart infrastructure. Learn more.
