CableLabs is proud to announce its Principal Architect, Doug Jones, has been chosen as the keynote speaker at this year’s Broadband Technology Summit, a free, virtual event held by FIERCE Telecom on April 18th and 19th, 2023. The keynote will address the current stage of the DOCSIS 4.0 rollout, the next iteration in the DOCSIS standard for data transfer over coaxial cable TV connections, which will allow cable companies to remain competitive with fiber.

Additionally, CableLabs VP of Wired Technologies, Curtis Knittle, will be participating in the “Passive optical networks – the opportunity” panel, which will focus on key considerations for operators deciding whether to deploy 25G or 5OG networks, among other notable topics regarding passive optical networks (PON).
