CableLabs’ Dr. Hao Guo to Present at the 2026 IEEE 103rd Vehicular Technology Conference

On June 11, 2026, Lead Architect for Mobile Networks Dr. Hao Guo will be presenting a paper at the IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2026-Spring) in Nice, France. During Session 4H: Scheduling 2, Dr. Guo will present a cost-effective large-scale spectrum sensing network, LarS-Net, designed to support dynamic spectrum sharing for future wireless systems. The work investigates fixed service microwave links as an example incumbent system and uses Monte Carlo simulations to identify the minimum set of base stations that require sensing capability to meet target detection performance.

The IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference is one of the flagship and most respected international conferences in wireless, mobile and vehicular communications. With a long-standing history under the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society, IEEE VTC provides a highly reputable forum for presenting advanced research on 5G/6G, connected vehicles, intelligent transportation systems and emerging wireless technologies. Its rigorous peer-review process and global technical community make it a premier venue for high-quality contributions in the wireless communications field. The paper was authored by CableLabs technologists Dr. Hao Guo, Dr. Ruoyu Sun, Dr. Rahil Gandotra and Mark Poletti, in collaboration with academic researchers Dr. Amir Hossein Fahim Raouf from North Carolina State University and Jiayu Mao from The Ohio State University.
