Joanna Stern is an Emmy Award-winning journalist and one of the most respected voices in personal technology today. As a senior personal technology columnist for The Wall Street Journal, she blends deep reporting with creativity, producing columns and videos that make complex topics accessible and entertaining. Her upcoming book, I AM NOT A ROBOT, explores the impact of AI on daily life by chronicling a year in which she let artificial intelligence infiltrate nearly every aspect of her world. Throughout her career, Joanna has earned numerous honors, including Gerald Loeb Awards for her innovative journalism.

Ayham Al-Banna

Ayham Al-Banna

VP, Technology Strategy & Innovation, Charter Communications

Dr. Ayham Al-Banna is a VP of Engineering in the Technology Strategy & Innovation group at Charter Communications, where he leads various initiatives related to Charter’s network evolution.

Before joining Charter, Ayham held multiple senior positions at CommScope, formerly the ARRIS Group, where he most recently served as a Director of Business Development & Fellow. Ayham has a proven record of accomplishments in relation to innovation, architecture, research & development, strategic planning, and business development of DOCSIS, HFC networks, and emerging broadband technologies.

Ayham has 27 issued patents and has authored a book about characterizing and mitigating wireless interference in IEEE802.11 WLANs. Ayham is a senior IEEE member and has numerous publications in Wireless and Cable Communications. He received the Multi- Channel News 40 Under 40 award in 2016. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA.

Shea Mohan

Director, Connectivity Products, GCI

Shea Mohan is an experienced people leader with a career focused on driving technological advancement and customercentric connectivity strategies. She has spent her entire professional career in the telecommunications industry, developing crossfunctional expertise across multiple roles and lines of business.

Shea currently serves as Director of Connectivity Products at GCI, where she leads the product team responsible for internet, WiFi, and wireless product offerings across residential and smalltomedium business. She owns product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management, with a particular focus on customer experience and the metrics that drive loyalty and reduce churn.

Previously, Shea held various leadership roles at Charter Communications, including Director of Product, where she led the development and commercialization of Charter’s 5G data network. Shea holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Denver and is originally from Austin, Texas.

Derek Rieckmann is the Director of GIS at Midco®. Rieckmann leads a GIS team that pushes the company, the industry and the GIS discipline forward into new technologies and opportunities. Derek has more than fifteen years of experience in the telecommunications GIS space and has spearheaded several initiatives to increase GIS adoption and functionality. He earned his bachelor’s in geography from the University of Northern Iowa and his masters in geography from Western Illinois University.

Nathan Kinzer

Nathan Kinzer

Director of Network Intelligence & Operations, Midco

Nathan Kinzer oversees Midco’s Network Intelligence & Operations organizations, leading teams dedicated to ensuring the reliability, performance of the company’s network. In his role he provides leadership for Network Analytics, NOC, Network Implementation and Support including network automation functions. Under his direction, these disciplines are focused on operational efficiency and delivering a best-in-class network, while advancing the company’s network automation initiatives.

He is responsible for the modeling, planning and execution of largescale network upgrades. With an extensive background in operations, Nathan brings a unique perspective to understanding Midco’s network.

Nathan began his career at Midco in 2005 as a retention and acquisition manager and has since progressed through a variety of operations and analytics leadership roles. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northern State University.

Chief Policy & Strategy Officer, NCTA

As Chief Policy and Strategy Officer, Love leads the development and execution of NCTA’s policy agenda, advancing the organization’s goals and representing the interests of its members across legislative and regulatory bodies. He engages with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and coalition partners to help shape public policy priorities.

Prior to NCTA, Love co-chaired Invariant’s Technology and Competition government relations practice. Love previously served as a senior policy advisor to then-Senator Cory Gardner and managed the Senator’s work on the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee. He also worked for Senator Gardner in the House of Representatives. Love received a Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College in Maine.

Taskin currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at Airties, having previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer since founding the company in 2004. He works out of the company’s headquarters in Paris.

In his early career, Taskin worked as a research engineer at the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), then continued his career in the United States. First at Hittite Microwave Corporation in Boston MA, designing radar and microwave communications systems and later at Cisco Systems at San Jose CA.

Working initially on the development of fixed access wireless devices at the Wireless Access BU, Taskin later moved to the Wireless Networking BU of Cisco leading a team of engineers. He received the “Cisco Innovator” award for his success in the design and development of early wireless connectivity products.

Metin Taskin serves on the Board of Directors for the Wireless Broadband Alliance, where he was shortlisted for CTO of the year in 2022. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Bosphorus University in Istanbul.

Steve Pederson

VP & Chief Product Officer, AOI

Steve Pederson is the Chief Product Officer for AOI’s Quantum Bandwidth product line and is responsible for product strategy, management, and business development. Before joining AOI, Pederson spent 23 years in senior roles in product management, product marketing and business development for Scientific-Atlanta, continuing after its acquisition by Cisco Systems, Inc. (“Cisco”) in 2006. During his tenure at Cisco, he championed the launches of industry-leading platforms for HFC and CMTS, including the GainMaker amplifiers and GS7000 Nodes.

Rob Wilmoth

Senior Principal Industry Architect, RedHat

Rob Wilmoth is a Senior Industry Principal Architect for the Red Hat North America Service provider team. He works closely with customers and partners advising and assisting with challenges ranging from regulatory compliance and general IT, to changing the way that they view their business problems in the network and content delivery spaces. He has been with Red Hat since 2007 in various Solutions Architecture roles supporting Red Hat’s most strategic customers.
