CableHome® — How to Participate

The CableHome community is made up of both vendors and CableLabs member companies. Vendors may join the CableHome community as either NDA vendors or IPR vendors. Currently, there are no specification or test plan development activities and CableHome 1.0 & 1.1 specifications are closed to further changes. However, test plans are still open for changes if necessary.

Join the CableHome Community as an NDA Vendor
Joining the CableHome community as an NDA vendor provides many benefits and privileges. As a participant, you will:

• Receive a login/password to NDA section of the restricted CableHome DocZone Web site.
• Receive e-mail announcements concerning CableHome project activities and events.
• Participate in quarterly project update meetings.
• Participate in the ECR/ECO/ECN process for ATPs (specification is closed).

Obtain the CableHome Project Confidential and Privileged Information Access Agreement required to join the CableHome community as an NDA vendor.

Join the CableHome Community as an IPR Vendor
Joining CableHome as an IPR vendor provides all the same benefits as an NDA vendor as well as several important additional benefits:

• Use the interfaces in the CableHome specifications without payment of royalty when you manufacture CableHome devices.
• A login/password to both IPR and NDA sections of the restricted CableHome DocZone Web site.

Obtain the CableHome IPR Agreement required to join the CableHome community as an IPR vendor.
