Louisville, Colorado, June 9, 2000—Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (CableLabs®) and its members will host a kick-off meeting for vendors on June 28, 2000 in Denver. CableLabs� Home Networking Project initiative is aimed at extending the broadband advantage of cable bandwidth ubiquitously within the home. Vendors who have registered a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) for the Home Networking project will be eligible to attend.

The meeting keynote will be given by Glenn Edens, President, AT&T Strategic Ventures, and CableLabs Executive Committee Liaison for the Home Networking Project. The purpose of this meeting will be to present to the NDA vendors a vision for the role that home networks will play in the delivery of cable-based services. Home networking requirements developed by the CableLabs team will be presented to the vendors, and plans for future specification efforts will be developed at the kick-off meeting.

CableLabs requires that technology developers interested in participating in the specification process sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with CableLabs.
