CableLabs® President and CEO Receives NCTA’s Vanguard Award

CableLabs president and CEO, Dr. Richard R. Green, has received the 1999 Vanguard Award for Science and Technology from the National Cable Television Association. The award was presented on June 16, 1999, during the closing ceremony for the Cable ’99 conference in Chicago.

AT&T Broadband & Internet Services president and CEO, Leo Hindery, a member of the CableLabs Board of Directors and its Executive Committee, received a Vanguard Award for Distinguished Leadership.

The Vanguard awards are the cable industry’s highest honor. They are presented to men and women who excel in both business and personal commitment to their colleagues.

Other recipients in 1999 include James F. McDonald, president and CEO of Scientific-Atlanta, for Associates and Affiliates, and Steve Effros, president of the Cable Telecommunications Association (CATA) for Government and Community Relations.
