Time Warner Chairman and CEO Richard D. Parsons gets a tour of CableNET® 2004 with CableLabs President and CEO Dr. Richard R. Green during the NCTA convention in New Orleans in early May. CableNET ’04 had 50 companies demonstrating new technologies that would be applicable to cable’s broadband service offerings. This year there were nearly two dozen interactive video demonstrations at CableNET, the largest number in CableNET’s 12 years of existence. Many of those interactive demonstrations involved the CableLabs® OpenCable™ Application Platform (OCAP™) middleware software specifications.
