Michelle Kuska, Vice President, Strategic Assessment
Ms. Kuska is a Vice President in CableLabs' Strategic Assessment Department.
Ms. Kuska is an industry veteran whose experience includes WildBlue Communications as the Director of Technology Development responsible for the specification and acquisition of the satellite modem and satellite modem termination system. Prior to joining WildBlue, Ms. Kuska was the Director of Technology Development for Tele-Communications Inc., and was the working group leader of the cable industry's DOCSIS project to achieve interoperability in cable modems, where she was responsible for defining the DOCSIS project and delivering the first version of the specifications. Ms. Kuska began her career at Pacific Bell where she was a Principal Member of Technical Staff and was the lead systems architect for the consumer broadband interactive digital services network offering.
Ms. Kuska holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University with a depth in quantum mechanics and breadth in lasers. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. Michelle was the recipient of a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship, Bell Laboratories Engineering Scholarship, GEM Graduate Fellowship, Ford Foundation Graduate Fellowship and the John McMullen Dean's Prize.
