Our External Community
We at CableLabs stand behind our external community by supporting the United Way, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, the local Community Food Share program, Habitat for Humanity, Bonfils Blood Center and other local community causes.
Our laboratories are located in one of the nation's most green-compliant counties. While we can all do more, we think that we do a pretty good job at being green and environmentally friendly. CableLabs participates in glass and plastic recycling programs and offered employees BPA-free plastic water bottles in our effort to reduce waste. We also recycle paper, electronics and more. We even installed light sensors in our offices and conference rooms to reduce energy consumption.
Our Internal Community
At CableLabs we place a high value on our diverse workforce. You'll be part of a team that offers various opinions and listens to your ideas. We encourage employees to try new things and we applaud innovation.
We support our employee community by providing not only new employee orientation, but we conduct formal follow-up meetings with each new employee twice during their first year looking for feedback on how to improve programs or implement new programs where possible.
Several times a year, employees are invited to attend All Hands meetings where our management team shares information and answers any questions. In addition, each quarter we have a financial specialist onsite to assist employees with any 401(k) investment questions they may have.
We also ensure our employees are comfortable from an ergonomic standpoint and conduct an onsite wellness fair and flu shot clinic. We encourage employees to participate in our Working on Wellness (W.O.W.) program, yoga classes and to enjoy a chair massage every once in a while.
We understand the importance of family and invite family members to participate in activities such as Rockies baseball games, picnics, and theater events.
